David W. Cryden

In his roles as Certified Financial Planner™, and Vice President, David believes it’s essential to maintain a healthy long-term perspective on financial goals and investments, so clients can effectively react to changing needs, markets, and the economy. After nearly 40 years with Blakeslee & Blakeslee, David continues to be motivated by the many moments when his clients have realized they’ve achieved their financial goals—whether they set those intentions a year ago or 30 years ago.

Over the years, David has played an integral role in the Central Coast community. He has served on the advisory board of the Women’s Shelter in San Luis Obispo, the EOC Advisory board, and as a member of the YMCA Scholarship Drive. David is also the founder of The TEACh Foundation, a permanent endowment for children of the San Luis Coastal Unified School District. In addition, for 17 years, David hosted a weekly, hour-long financial planning and investment focused radio show. David’s radio guests included: two economists who were Nobel Laureates, mutual fund managers and executives, and many corporate CEOs.
